Pompano Beach, Florida (October 20, 2022) – Kalashnikov USA’s (KUSA) sponsored shooter Alaina James will compete at the Red Oktober Kalashnikov Championships scheduled for October 22-23 at Pro Gun Vegas in Boulder City, Nevada. Last year, Ms. James took home the 1st Place in the Ladies’ category at the matches. She placed 38th out of 156 shooters in the heavy open division.
Red Oktober is more than just a just a shooting match. It is a festival and exhibition of all things AK related that highlights the world’s most prolific (and successful) rifle design pioneered by Mikhail Kalashnikov and his fellow ordnance engineers at the end of World War II. Red Oktober welcomes spectators and AK enthusiasts to watch the matches, visit sponsor booths and enter a variety of drawings for prizes.

In addition to the daytime matches, Alaina will also compete in the low-light “After Dark” match being held on Saturday night. The new event will allow shooters to test their skills using a variety of low light optics…or no optics at all.
